Contemporary Cravats is a new label by an exciting, innovative, young designer, who specialises in digitally printed textiles.

The Cravats are made from soft silk crepe satin, a matt fabric reminiscent of cashmere to the touch yet thin, light and cool as silk. Fabric is doubled so that the design is visible on both sides. The cravats are pleated at the centre to sit comfortably on the back of the neck and fall delicately at the front to be tied in whichever fashion suits the client.

Designed, printed, tailored and packaged in England, Contemporary Cravats supports fair wages for quality and skills.

Genevieve Browne graduated from Winchester School of Art in Printed Textile Design. Genevieve is an avid painter and her passion for textiles has blossomed from the concept of visual art with an aesthetic and intimate relationship to the viewer and wearer. Genevieve has always been strongly influenced by the brave colours and striking imagery found in traditional textiles of East Asia and Africa but more recently has drawn from the 1921 watercolour book of English flowers by her Grandfather, Louis Browne.
